The History of Coconut Grove and the Story of the Mutiny Hotel are being featured at a Miami History Meetup on Saturday, August 3 from 3 to 6 pm at the Coral Gables Museum.
Topics include Origins of the Cocoanut Grove name; Early Pioneers; Millionaires Row; Architects and Artists; Counter Culture, Peacock Park and so much more.
Speakers include Casey Piket and Roben Farzad, author of the highly popular "Hotel Scarface" book.
A reception and cocktails will start the event, followed by a brief history and slideshow of the Grove, then Roben does his thing and then there is a Q&A period.
The Coral Gables Museum is at 285 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables.
